War Words Poetry Challenge

Between September and December this year as part of the First World War Centenary commemorations, Liverpool John Moores University’s Merseyside at War project is running War Words, a poetry challenge to facilitate members of the local community to learn more about their families’ past and express their opinions of the Great War creatively.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Your poem can be related to anything to do with the First World War, preferably looking at Merseyside during the war.

There are two categories: under 18 and adult.

Your poem should not exceed one side of A4.

Once you’ve written your poem, please email a copy of the piece along with your name, your address and telephone

number to merseysideatwar@ljmu.ac.uk

 

Please remember to state which category you are entering into.
