West Kirkby Remembers WWI

War Exhibition Day at St. Bridget’s Centre

The West Kirby Museum Research Team is writing biographies on all the West Kirby men listed on the West Kirby War Memorial who lost their lives during WW1, and the database will be available to view on the day – you may also wish to view the related website at www.grangehill22@wordpress.com

There will also be exhibitions, a book sale and the following short talks:

• 10.30 – ‘The Battle of the Somme and  Hoylake in WW1’ (Stephen Roberts)
• 11.30 – ‘Some interesting heroes of WW1’ (Victoria Doran)
• 12.30 – ‘Animals in WW1’ (Helen Carr)
• 1.30 – ‘Wirral 1914-1918’ (Elizabeth Davey)
• 2.30 – ‘West Kirby War Memorial’ (Heather Chapman)
